since your ali's brother, i guess i'll divulge my secret about inking techniques......
i vary with my inking - at the moment, for my sketch series, i'm using the oh-so-ever expensive program ($400+) Adobe Illustrator 9.0 (even though the most current one is 10.0... i believe....) at school (i'm too cheap to buy it for my home computer).
when i don't have illustrator (it's a nice, clean vector program that gives you ultra nice lines) i use normal ball point pens (you know, like Bic, or Papermate... the kind you can buy, 10 for $1.00) and permanent markers. (always Sharpie - they're your friends).
i never use the ultra fine sharpies, either - just the normal fat kinds. i use the ball point pens for detail work and cleaning up the bleeding. sharpies bleed too much, see?
it takes too long to use the good old fashioned pen and ink stuff, though... i'm really liking illustrator, because it cuts down the 3-4 hour inking job to less than an hour, usually.
